1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Plate It Right (the “App”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The App is a game for education and entertainment only — not professional advice

Plate It Right is an educational game intended for entertainment and general learning about food-safety principles. It is based on publicly available guidance from the CDC, USDA, and FDA, but it is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a product of any government agency.

The App does not provide medical, health, dietary, or professional food-safety advice, and is not a substitute for professional advice, official food-handler training or certification, or the guidance of a qualified professional or public-health authority.

You should not rely on the App as your sole source of food-safety information. Always follow the official guidance of the CDC, USDA, FDA, your local health authority, product labels, and qualified professionals when handling, preparing, or storing food. Any actions you take based on the App are at your own discretion and risk.

2a. Assumption of risk and release

To the maximum extent permitted by law, by using the App you acknowledge and agree that:

• The App is for entertainment and educational purposes only and does not guarantee food safety or any particular outcome.
• You assume all risk associated with your food-handling, preparation, cooking, and storage decisions.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and agree not to hold AryaTechnologies LLC liable for any illness, injury, loss, or damage arising from or related to your use of the App or any food-related decisions you make.

3. Eligibility and children

The App is designed to be family-friendly. If you are under the age of majority in your region, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

4. Subscriptions and purchases (Plate It Right Pro)

The App offers an optional paid subscription (“Pro”) with monthly, annual, and lifetime options. All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Free features remain available without a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to reverse-engineer it (except as permitted by law), or use it to harm others.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its content, artwork, and code are owned by AryaTechnologies LLC or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AryaTechnologies LLC shall not be liable for any illness, injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the App or any food-handling decisions you make.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated version.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States.
